Valerion Announces Premium VisionMaster Max Projector With Anti Rainbow Effect Tech
Following a successful Kickstarter, Valerion is officially unveiling its new high-end projector, the VisionMaster Max, at IFA 2025. The projector is designed to tackle a common issue found in cheaper models, the distracting rainbow effect, while also boasting significant upgrades in contrast and brightness.
A known issue with more affordable DLP projectors is the rainbow effect, where viewers can see brief, strobing flashes of color during fast-moving scenes. This occurs due to the rapid spinning of the projector’s color wheel. While not a deal-breaker for many, it can be a significant annoyance for sensitive viewers and home theater enthusiasts. Valerion’s solution is what it calls Anti-RBE Technology, which it claims reduces rainbow effects by 99.9 percent. This is achieved through software that blends color sequences faster than the human eye can detect, resulting in a smooth, seamless image.
Beyond addressing the rainbow effect, the VisionMaster Max features improved picture quality. It has a native contrast ratio of 5,000:1. This is further enhanced by an AI-assisted feature called Enhanced Black Level, which boosts the dynamic contrast to 50,000:1 for greater depth and detail in dark scenes. This is managed by the NoirScene Dark Field Engine System, which combines a fixed iris with the EBL algorithm to produce deeper blacks with minimal calibration needed. With a brightness output of up to 3,500 lumens, these contrast features make the projector suitable for use in various lighting conditions, from a pitch-black home theater to a sunlit living room.
The projector retains the adjustable lens system found in other Valerion models, allowing for flexible installation and screen alignment. For connectivity, it supports both Gigabit ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E. The smart platform running on the device is Google TV, providing access to a wide array of streaming apps and services. Despite this Google integration, Valerion states that the VisionMaster Max is fully compatible with all major smart home ecosystems, including Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Control4, and Crestron.
The Valerion VisionMaster Max is positioned as a premium home theater product. It is scheduled to become available in October 2025 with a starting price of $4,999.
