Death Stranding 2 On The Beach PC Specs Revealed, Feature New Pico Upscaling With the PC release of Death Stranding 2 On The Beach now less than a month away, Sony has detailed the hardware specifications required to run the game. The requirements are notably accessible for a modern AAA title, especially one from the visually ambitious studio of Hideo Kojima. The minimum specifications target a 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second on the low graphics preset. For this performance tier, players will need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8GB of VRAM. The corresponding CPU recommendations are an Intel Core i3-10100 or an AMD Ryzen 3 3100. This baseline makes the game playable for those with older or more modest gaming systems. As expected, the recommended and high-end specifications for smoother frame rates and higher resolutions demand more powerful components. To achieve 1080p at 60 frames per second, Sony suggests an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super or an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, paired with a more robust processor like an Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X. The PC port will also introduce several new features. A significant addition is the inclusion of Pico upscaling as an option. This upscaling technology was developed by Guerilla Games and was previously utilized in the PlayStation 5 version of Death Stranding 2. Its integration marks the debut of Pico as a selectable upscaler on the PC platform. Furthermore, the game will offer extensive support for ultrawide displays. Cutscenes can be experienced in a 21:9 aspect ratio, while gameplay can expand to an immersive 32:9 aspect ratio. Sony confirmed that this ultrawide view option will be available in both the PC and PlayStation 5 versions of the game. Notably, players will not need to own a physical ultrawide monitor to enable these aspect ratios; the feature can be activated in the settings regardless of the display hardware. Death Stranding 2 On The Beach is scheduled for release on PC on March 19.
