April PlayStation Plus Games Revealed

Sony Reveals PlayStation Plus Games for April Featuring Lords of the Fallen and Classic Tomb Raider Adventures Sony has announced the next batch of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers, and the April lineup is a powerful mix of modern action and nostalgic adventure. All titles will be available to download and play starting Tuesday, April 7, for members on the Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers. As always, these games remain accessible as long as your subscription is active. Leading the pack is Lords of the Fallen for the PS5. This 2023 release is a full sequel to the 2014 game of the same name, offering a vastly expanded dark fantasy world. It is a challenging action RPG that lets players choose from nine distinct character classes and wield hundreds of weapons. A standout feature is its innovative dual-world mechanic, allowing instant transitions between the realms of the living and the dead to solve puzzles and uncover secrets. The game was praised for its deep combat and atmospheric world, cementing its place as a favorite among souls-like enthusiasts. Next is a treat for retro gaming fans: Tomb Raider I-III Remastered. This collection brings the first three iconic adventures of Lara Croft to modern consoles with lovingly updated visuals. A simple button press lets players instantly switch between the enhanced graphics and the original classic polygon look, offering the best of both worlds. New to these versions is a photo mode and a challenge mode where players can replay levels with specific modifiers. Available for both PS4 and PS5, this is the perfect way to experience the groundbreaking origins of one of gaming’s most legendary heroes. Rounding out the trio is Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream for PS5. This live-service action RPG focuses heavily on cooperative online play, supporting up to 20 players who can adventure simultaneously in teams. The story is a crossover event that pulls characters from across the entire Sword Art Online franchise into a new narrative. This setup provides a chaotic but fun playground for fans to team up with their favorite characters in fast-paced combat and exploration. With new games arriving, the current March offerings will soon leave the monthly games catalog. Subscribers have until Monday, April 6, to add PGA Tour 2K25, Monster Hunter Rise, Slime Rancher 2, and The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road to their libraries before they are replaced.
