Amazon Kindle Scribe Colorsoft Combines Note Taking with Color E Ink If you tried to cover everything announced at Amazon’s fall hardware event, you would be at it for a long time. The event featured new Echo speakers, new Alexa tricks, more Nest Cameras and, of course, more Kindles. For the full rundown, you should check out the detailed report from my colleague. When it comes to Amazon’s ereader line, the standout new device is the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft. This model merges the note-taking and stylus capabilities of the Scribe with Amazon’s latest color e-ink screen technology. It also includes a new rendering engine designed to make writing feel faster, more fluid, and more natural. If you are interested, you can order one later this year for 630 dollars. For those who think color is overrated, there is also a new standard Kindle Scribe with a larger screen that matches typical paper sizes. This refreshed model will go on sale in the US by the end of the year, priced at 500 dollars. A version without a front light will be available for 430 dollars. In other tech news, Microsoft has significantly increased the price of its Game Pass Ultimate subscription. The service now costs 30 dollars per month, a 50 percent increase from its previous price. This is the second price hike in two years. At 360 dollars per year, it is now more than twice as expensive as PlayStation’s Plus Premium tier. For those willing to pay the new price, Microsoft added 45 new games this week, including many titles from the Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry series. Meta’s second-generation Ray-Ban smart glasses are showing that the category is becoming genuinely useful. The new hardware addresses many issues from the first generation, with much-improved battery life and a 3K resolution upgrade that makes video more practical for platforms like YouTube. Overall video quality is better, making these glasses a more compelling accessory. In a different category, Shark has introduced a skincare gadget that uses suction to remove debris from pores and then rinses them. It is certainly a unique approach to personal care. Finally, Peloton has updated its entire lineup of Bike, Tread, and Row machines. This is a major overhaul for the company, featuring new software, programmable workouts, and collaborations. All new machines have a screen that can rotate away from the equipment. The updated Plus models feature a 23.8-inch display and include form-checking cameras, while the base models have a 21.5-inch screen. This rotating feature is intended to make the devices more versatile for cross-training workouts like yoga and strength training. The new Peloton devices are available for purchase now.
