Annapurna Interactive Sets Tokyo Showcase for Three New Game Reveals Annapurna Interactive has announced a new digital showcase scheduled for September 23, 2025. The event, titled Annapurna Interactive Direct from Tokyo, will be streamed on YouTube at 8PM Eastern Time or 5PM Pacific Time. The presentation is set to feature new game announcements from three development studios: Marumittu Games, Iridium Studios, and Yarn Owl. This event follows the publisher’s previous showcase held in February, which highlighted titles such as Skin Deep and Wheel World. The upcoming stream will focus exclusively on providing new details for these three upcoming projects. Some information about the studios and their games has already been hinted at in the past. Kyoto-based Marumittu Games first revealed its partnership with Annapurna in 2023. The studio stated it is drawing inspiration from the works of journalist Rutger Bregman and author Yuval Noah Harari to create a game that involves thinking about the future of humanity. Developer Yarn Owl initially teased its project in 2022, mentioning that it is inspired by the classic game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The partnership with Iridium Studios, however, has not been formally announced by Annapurna until now. A clue exists on Iridium Studios own website, where it lists its next project as an unannounced RPG with an unannounced partner, strongly suggesting this is the game to be revealed. This showcase arrives during a period of transition for the publisher. The long-term stability of Annapurna Interactive came into question following a mass-resignation of its internal video game staff in 2024. Despite this, the publisher has continued to operate, announcing and releasing new games. The former staff members who left have since established a new publishing venture to support projects that were in development under Take Two’s now-shuttered indie label, Private Division. The event promises to give a closer look at the future of Annapurna Interactive’s publishing slate with these three new titles from international developers.
