The first major free update for the hit brick-breaking roguelite Ball x Pit has arrived, bringing a wave of new content including a highly requested endless mode, new characters, and powerful new balls. This Regal Update is the first of three planned free expansions for the game this year. A top community request has been answered with the introduction of Endless Mode. After players defeat a level’s boss, they now have the option to continue playing indefinitely, pushing their carefully constructed builds to the absolute limit to see how long they can survive against ever-increasing challenges. Two new playable hunters join the roster, each with unique mechanics. The Falconer attacks by sending out balls from two birds positioned on either side of the screen. The Carouser introduces a new dynamic to ball physics; when balls return to him, they begin to orbit around his character, dealing additional damage. The developer notes that this character warps ball trajectories with a personal gravity field that pulls shots off their standard paths. The update also expands the arsenal with eight new special balls. The Stone Ball is a high-impact option that disintegrates with each bounce. Players can now also harness fire damage with new balls that apply burning effects, and the Fireworks Ball promises to add even more visual spectacle to the chaotic screen. Three new passive abilities have been added as well, including one called Iron Onesie, which increases the damage of special balls based on the number of simpler baby balls currently in play. To make the game more accessible, the update has added support for several new languages. Players can now enjoy Ball x Pit in Spanish for Latin America, Polish, Italian, Thai, Turkish, and Ukrainian. Ball x Pit has cemented itself as a standout title, renowned for its deep, satisfying gameplay loop that encourages continuous experimentation with different ball and ability combinations.
