CES 2026 TV Highlights Samsung LG and TCL TVs are once again a major focus at CES and this years show did not disappoint with significant announcements from top manufacturers. While OLED and Mini LED technologies continue to evolve a new contender called Micro RGB has emerged as one of the most discussed advancements particularly in the high end market. Here are the key TV announcements that have stood out so far from the early events at CES 2026. Samsung Micro RGB TVs Samsung is pushing Micro RGB technology which aims to redefine color accuracy and brightness in LCD TVs. Unlike traditional Mini LED backlights that use white LEDs with filters Samsungs Micro RGB employs microscopic red green and blue LEDs directly in the backlight. This allows for a wider color gamut and more precise local brightness control. The most eye catching display is a massive 130 inch Micro RGB concept TV shown on a gallery style stand. It is powered by Samsungs Micro RGB AI Engine Pro which includes features like Micro RGB Color Booster Pro and Micro RGB HDR Pro to enhance contrast and color detail. While the 130 inch model is a statement piece Samsung says its consumer Micro RGB lineup will start at more practical sizes like 55 and 65 inches and go up to 100 inches. These sets will include Samsungs Glare Free anti reflection finish and integrate with the broader Vision AI platform for features like conversational search. Samsung OLED TVs Samsung also unveiled its 2026 OLED lineup including the S95H S90H and S85H models. These TVs continue to use quantum dot enhanced OLED panels which Samsung says deliver brighter highlights and richer colors compared to older WOLED technology. The flagship S95H offers the highest performance while the S90H includes glare reducing layers and the S85H adds a new 48 inch size option for smaller spaces. All models feature Samsungs Vision AI tools such as AI Motion Enhancer Pro and AI Sound Controller which adapts audio based on content. LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV LG brought back its ultra thin Wallpaper TV design with the OLED evo W6. This TV is remarkably thin at just 9mm and is designed to sit nearly flush against a wall. It uses a separate Zero Connect Box that houses all inputs and wirelessly transmits video to the panel from up to 10 meters away. The W6 incorporates LGs Hyper Radiant Color and Brightness Booster Ultra technologies for improved brightness and color. It also boasts a very low reflection screen and supports high refresh rates up to 165Hz for gaming along with G SYNC and FreeSync Premium compatibility. LG Micro RGB evo TVs LG is entering the premium RGB backlit TV market with its new Micro RGB evo lineup. These TVs will come in large sizes like 75 86 and 100 inches. They are powered by LGs a11 AI Processor Gen3 for upscaling and image processing. LG claims these sets achieve full coverage of major color standards including BT.2020 DCI P3 and Adobe RGB. The Micro Dimming Ultra system reportedly features over 1000 local dimming zones aiming to deliver contrast that rivals OLED. LG OLED TVs C6 and C6H LG continues to update its core OLED series. The C6 OLED offers a balance of performance and value. The step up C6H model introduces a new Primary RGB Tandem panel designed for higher brightness and improved color volume. These models are positioned as accessible options for those seeking OLED picture quality. TCL X11L SQD Mini LED TV TCL is making a strong case for advanced Mini LED technology with its new flagship the X11L SQD Mini LED TV. Instead of Micro RGB TCL is using what it calls SQD or Super Quantum Dot technology combining an enhanced quantum dot layer with a dense Mini LED backlight. The headline claim is an extraordinary peak brightness of up to 10000 nits supported by a local dimming system with up to 20000 zones. TCL states the TV covers 100 percent of the BT.2020 color space. Available in large sizes including 75 85 and 98 inches the X11L supports a 144Hz refresh rate for gaming and advanced HDR formats like Dolby Vision. With CES press events underway and the show floor opening more TV announcements are expected in the coming days.
