Darksiders 4 Officially Announced at THQ Nordic Showcase
Fans of the Darksiders franchise have reason to celebrate as THQ Nordic confirmed the development of Darksiders 4 during its recent digital showcase. The announcement came alongside trailers for several other upcoming titles, including Reanimal and The Eternal Life of Goldman. While the series last saw a release with the 2019 prequel Darksiders Genesis, this new installment promises to pick up where the original game left off.
Players will have the chance to step into the role of any of the Four Horsemen, with gameplay focusing on combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving in a post-apocalyptic setting. Though details remain scarce, the teaser confirms the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. No release date has been announced yet.
The THQ Nordic showcase also revealed a handful of other projects, including a new Spongebob game, but the publisher hinted that this was only a glimpse of what’s to come. With 28 games currently in development, 15 of which remain unannounced, fans can expect more reveals in the near future.
For those who missed the event, a full recap is available on THQ Nordic’s official showcase page. The return of Darksiders marks a major moment for the franchise, and anticipation is already building for what’s next.
