Fallout 4 Gets a Tenth Anniversary Edition This November Bethesda has revealed plans to release a special tenth anniversary version of Fallout 4 on November 10. This follows a similar pattern to the anniversary treatment given to The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. The Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition packages the original base game with all its major expansion content, including Automatron, Far Harbor, Nuka-World, and the Workshop add-ons. The original open-world game launched in 2015 and is set in the year 2287, a full 210 years after a devastating nuclear war. Like other titles in the series, it presents a post-apocalyptic world that clings to the aesthetic and culture of 1940s and 1950s America. The games story follows the Sole Survivor of Vault 111, a person who was cryogenically frozen and awakens over two centuries after the bombs fell. The players loyal canine companion is a dog named Dogmeat, but they can also be joined by six other potential companions. These include Codsworth the robot butler, Deacon the railroad agent, Goodneighbor mayor John Hancock, the synth detective Nick Valentine, reporter Piper Wright, and Preston Garvey of the Minutemen paramilitary group. Beyond the core game and expansions, this new anniversary release is packed with 150 pieces of content from the Creation Club, Bethesdas in-game marketplace for developer-made weapons, skins, and other downloadable items. Some of the free content includes new Dogmeat breeds, such as a Husky and a Dalmatian. The edition also features a new in-game Creations menu designed to let players easily browse and access downloadable content. Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition will be available as a digital release for Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
