Google Teases Pixel 10 Ahead of August 20 Launch
Google has once again given fans an early glimpse of its upcoming smartphone, the Pixel 10, before its official announcement. The company’s store homepage currently features a short video showcasing what appears to be the base model of the Pixel 10, hinting at design changes and new features.
The Pixel 10 seems to follow a similar aesthetic to the Pixel 9 but with notable upgrades. The video reveals a new grayish-blue color option, a redesigned back panel that appears to rise from the frame, and an additional camera. Unlike the Pixel 9, which only included wide and ultrawide lenses, the Pixel 10 may come with a telephoto camera—a feature previously reserved for the Pro models.
Rumors suggest Google plans to equip all its 2025 Pixel phones with telephoto cameras, though it’s still unclear whether the teased device is the standard Pixel 10 or the Pro variant. Beyond the exterior changes, the video doesn’t reveal much else, aligning with reports that Google is focusing more on technical improvements rather than drastic design overhauls.
One of the expected upgrades is a new Tensor chip, which could bring enhanced AI capabilities and performance optimizations. Google has a history of leaking its own products well before launch, often teasing them through official channels. Last year, the company previewed the Pixel 9 lineup ahead of its release, and in 2022, it revealed the Pixel 7 months before its official debut.
