Sony has unveiled a strong lineup of new games coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in August, with titles set to go live on August 19. The selection caters to a wide range of gaming tastes, from action-packed adventures to immersive RPGs.
Leading the pack is Marvels Spider-Man Remastered, the enhanced PS5 version of the beloved PS4 game. This remaster features upgraded visuals and a new actor for Peter Parker. PS4 players are not left out, as Marvels Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition will also be available.
For fighting game enthusiasts, Mortal Kombat 1 joins the catalog. This 2023 reboot of the iconic franchise delivers stunning graphics and fresh gameplay mechanics, including a special Jean-Claude Van Damme-inspired skin for Johnny Cage.
A standout addition is Sword of the Sea, a fantasy surfing adventure from the creators of Journey and Abzû. This title will be available on PS Plus as a day-one release, launching simultaneously across all platforms.
Other notable games include Harold Halibut, a charming narrative-driven adventure, and Indika, a dark and thought-provoking experience. Life sim fans can dive into Coral Island, while RPG lovers can explore Atelier Ryza 3 Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key.
With such a diverse lineup, PlayStation Plus subscribers have plenty to look forward to this August. Whether swinging through New York as Spider-Man or battling in Mortal Kombat 1, there’s something for every type of gamer.
