Samsung Previews Next-Gen Odyssey Gaming Monitors Ahead of CES 2026 Samsung has revealed its upcoming Odyssey gaming monitor lineup, featuring groundbreaking specs like glasses-free 3D and extreme refresh rates, set to be showcased at CES 2026. The flagship model is the 32-inch Odyssey 3D, which Samsung calls the world’s first 6K display with glasses-free 3D technology. It offers a 165Hz refresh rate, which can be boosted to 330Hz using a Dual Mode feature, and a 1ms gray-to-gray response time. Samsung states the monitor’s optimized 3D effects are designed to enhance the perception of terrain, distance, and object separation beyond standard 2D, with compatibility for featured titles such as Stellar Blade and The First Berserker: Khazan. For players who prioritize speed, the 27-inch Odyssey G6 pushes refresh rates to a new extreme. Samsung claims it is the world’s first monitor to achieve 1,040 Hz through its Dual Mode technology, while offering native QHD resolution at up to 600Hz. This is intended to help users track targets and see fine details during fast-paced gameplay. The monitor is compatible with both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync for smooth performance. Samsung also caters to OLED enthusiasts with the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8. This model combines a 4K QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. It features a glare-free coating and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, though its peak brightness is noted at 300 nits. Connectivity includes DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 with up to 80Gbps bandwidth, and it supports both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync. Rounding out the announcements are two additional high-resolution Odyssey G8 models. The first is a 32-inch G80HS with 6K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The second is a 27-inch Odyssey G8 with 5K resolution, offering a native refresh rate of up to 180Hz. Its Dual Mode can boost this to 360Hz when running at a QHD resolution. Pricing and specific availability details for all the new monitors have not been disclosed. More information is expected to be announced in early 2026.
