Weber’s Wi-Fi Grill Ignites

Weber Expands Smart Grill Lineup with First Wi-Fi Charcoal Grill and New Accessories for 2026 Weber is bringing its smart grilling technology to charcoal for the first time. The company, a veteran in connected grills since 2020, has announced the Performer Smart Charcoal Grill and the Kettle Smart Ring, integrating its Weber Connect platform directly into charcoal cooking. The centerpiece is the 22-inch Performer Smart Charcoal Grill. It features a Wi-Fi-enabled LCD controller that automatically manages grill temperature by adjusting airflow over the charcoal. Weber says this automation makes the grill suitable for longer cooks and overnight smoking. It also includes a Rapidfire Assist mode for faster charcoal ignition. Grill temperature and connected food probes can be monitored and controlled remotely via the Weber Connect app. This smart model is an upgrade to the existing Performer series, retaining features like the porcelain-enamel finish, manual dampers, and the One-Touch cleaning system. It adds a Weber Works side table and rail for accessories. A premium version with a storage cart will cost 799 dollars, while a model with a basic cart will be 599 dollars. Non-smart versions will also be available for 649 and 449 dollars. The base smart models arrive this spring, with premium versions coming in summer. For existing Weber Kettle owners, the Kettle Smart Ring offers a path to automation. Priced at 280 dollars and available this spring, this accessory fits 22-inch kettles. It provides temperature control via an LCD display and knob, connects to the Weber Connect app, and has ports for two wired food probes. Weber is also addressing another area where it has trailed competitors: wireless probes. New for 2026 are a Smart Wireless Probe for 70 dollars and a 115-dollar version that includes a range booster and charger. These sync with Weber smart grills or the app. A separate Smart Hub Display and Booster, costing 90 dollars, can add wireless probe connectivity to any grill. For monitoring grate temperature, Weber is introducing a retractable wired Smart Probe for 40 dollars. The 2026 updates extend to gas grills as well. Updated Genesis Smart Gas Grills now feature a Sear Zone capable of reaching 750 degrees Fahrenheit and a redesigned side table compatible with Weber Works accessories. Available in propane and natural gas, in three- and four-burner configurations, they start at 999 dollars this spring. More affordable Spirit Smart Gas Grills will start at 599 dollars with similar burner options. Both lines maintain connectivity with the Weber Connect app. This expansion signifies Weber’s commitment to integrating smart technology across its entire fuel portfolio, offering automated temperature control and connectivity whether users prefer charcoal, pellets, or gas.
