The company just announced two new plans that focus on simplicity. Priced at 30 and 45 dollars per month, these plans include features that usually cost extra elsewhere. The 30 dollar Mobile Select plan gives you 50GB of premium full-speed data. It also includes a Global Travel Pass that works in 215 countries. Another perk is Xfinity’s Wi-Fi PowerBoost, which automatically connects your phone to their nationwide network of hotspots. On those networks and at home, you can get priority speeds up to 1 gigabit. The 45 dollar Mobile Plus plan adds bigger benefits. You get unlimited premium data and 4K video streaming. The Select plan only goes up to 720p. But the biggest draw is the promise of device upgrades at literally any time. Most carriers let you upgrade before your three-year payment plan ends, but the promotions change constantly and it can be confusing. Comcast says Plus subscribers can upgrade their phone whenever they want, with no hassle. When asked if you could switch from an iPhone 17 Pro to a Galaxy S26 just six months later, representatives said yes, no matter the condition of your old phone. They insisted the anytime upgrade process is as simple as it sounds. The Plus plan also includes lifetime device protection. Most carriers charge extra for this. It covers your phone as well as connected devices like smartwatches or iPads. If you need a replacement, you just bring it in. There is one catch. Xfinity Mobile is only available to people who already have an Xfinity internet plan. But Comcast is making it easy to try. New internet customers get a five-year price guarantee. They can also try the Mobile Select plan for a full year for free, or the Plus plan for just 15 dollars per month. With that offer, there is very little risk in testing the service.
